The Fines Creek Community Center houses the largest enclosed spaces available for community use. The gym contains over 6500 square feet of open floor space with six 600 square foot classrooms on the sides. On the north side is a small, raised, indoor stage. Behind this stage is the large outdoor stage that overlooks a concrete pad that can be used as a dance floor. The kitchen/cafeteria is located behind the main brick building. The cafeteria space can easily seat 100 people. The kitchen retains the former heated serving units used during school days. Within the kitchen are an eight-burner propane stove with ovens, refrigerator, freezer, sink and other components used for serving meals to large groups. The kitchen and dining room can be rented separately. Behind the gym and cafeteria is a large outdoor grassy area where games can be held, tents erected, or children can run and play. A walking trail which encircles the three main buildings of the community center, passes in front of the Fines Creek Volunteer Fire Department (FCVFD) pavilion, and continues down the fire department’s access road and can be used at any time by walkers. The complete circle is approximately a quarter mile.
The facilities are available for community use. A small fee is charged to cover utilities and insurance.
